Spy Gadgets using light, magnets, vibrations, projectile motion and other design elements are all around us, so in this camp we are imagining what problems we can solve with everyday tools.
KSL Academy Scholars explore three primary states of matter, and problem solving to change them and understand the chemistry to allows us to better appreciate matter in all its forms.
Girls are the future for our entire world. They need frequent and regular engagement with hands-on science that encourages their brilliance, creativity, and ability to innovate, at an early age (2-5). It’s never too late for science, but really, our system actually disables their interest by the 5th grade and we need to do more to give them the opportunities that they deserve.
Kids are always curious about their eyes and occasionally ask “Why are my eyes tearing up”? , so at Kids Science Labs Med School for kids we are exploring our sight, discussing that wicked cool brain/eye connection, and designing our own eyes with protective features (eyelashes, tear ducts, cornea).
Injuries happen and its our responsibility @ Kids Science Labs to engage kids to understand the techniques and methods we can use to treat our minor injuries. Medical School starts now @KSL as we explore kids curiousity around Emergency Medical Services, including innovating our own absorbent and water resistant bandaids from scratch!
Boats are heavy objects, but not very dense. The difference is incredible in that by adapting shape, materials, and area, we can make the heaviest object more buoyant (ability to float). At KSL, we look inside nearly everything to give kids a heads start on long-term outperformance through basic science discovery.
